The Ground Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) of the Islamic Republic of Iran is participating in the joint anti-terrorist exercise of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in Belarus.
به گزارش خبرگزاری ۶۰ثانیه، The Public Relations Office of the IRGC Ground Force announced that the IRGC Ground Force team, representing Iran’s Armed Forces, has arrived in Belarus to take part in the joint SCO anti-terrorist exercise. The statement added that at a time when adversaries and Western and European countries are seeking to reduce the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ties with regional nations, participation in this exercise continues Iran’s strategic engagement with SCO members.
A special forces team from the IRGC Ground Force has been deployed to Belarus to share experience alongside the forces of other member states during the exercise. Last year, the IRGC Ground Force hosted the same anti-terrorist exercise as the fourth host country in the Shabestar area of East Azerbaijan Province, Iran, showcasing the capability and readiness of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization currently has ten full members: Russia, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
