Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf cautioned that the United States is seeking to cause mayhem within the country in their new round of hostilities against Tehran and after the regimes failed to achieve their objectives militarilly.
به گزارش خبرگزاری ۶۰ثانیه، During a meeting with Iran’s Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan on Wednesday, Qalibaf said the enemy seeks to create insecurity and instability within the country, adding that the government's biggest bid is carrying out serious action, especially on infrastructure and living conditions for police personnel. "The pressures police forces endure exist in all conditions, both in times of war and peace, and the personnel of this force, even under normal conditions, are carrying out their duties and conducting operations around the clock. This is a characteristic of the national police staff's personnel," he stressed.
Following the failure of its military objectives, the US has leaned heavily on a naval blockade of Iranian oil and a new wave of sanctions targeting Iran's military supply chain and financial facilitators. US officials, including President Donald Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, have repeatedly pushed a narrative that Iran is heading toward an economic "cataclysm", expressing confidence that Tehran will be forced to capitulate ahead of the US midterm elections in November.
However, Iranian leadership has dismissed these projections as delusional propaganda.
Qalibaf stated that all three branches of government consider it their duty to urgently meet the needs of the armed forces, particularly the police. The Americans learned during the 40-day war that they could not harm the Islamic Republic through military action, creating a deterrent effect that has pushed Washington to shift its focus toward economic pressure and disrupting Iran's internal security, he concluded.
